About Event Cuisine
Event Cuisine was created by Ding and Derek Buckett.
Ding Buckett has been catering for most of her life. She inherited a flair for producing delicious interesting food from her mother, who was highly connected in the arts world. Whilst a teenager her mother ran a popular wine bar in Chelsea. As a young woman Ding travelled extensively in Europe where she had first-hand experience of interesting and delicious European cuisine whilst running her own dance troupe.
Derek Buckett, born a farmer’s son was trained in agriculture and farmed in SE Cornwall for almost 20 years before spending 10 years in East Africa where he built and ran a top of the market small and exclusive tourist lodge adjacent to the Serengeti National Park.
